Our motto:
Breaking the traditions of man when necessary to keep the
commandments of God.
Our Mission: The mission of The Father's House is to do our part in fulfilling the great commission of going to all the world making disciples, teaching, and demonstrating the power of God as He has revealed to us through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is imperative that new believers are equipped and released from The Father's House to extend the outreach from this community to other parts of the world as God leads. In reaching this community, The Father's House will endeavor to bring unity to all believers in Jesus Christ through a cooperative spirit with all churches and individuals. We realize as the army of the Lord we must unite to gain back the land for the Kingdom of God.
Articles of Faith Article One We believe there is one true God represented in three persons, The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though three, they move as one in wisdom, direction, and purpose. (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 28:19, Mark 8:38)
Article Two We believe that the Jesus is the Son of God, with no beginning or end but by the plan of the Father came to earth, was born of the virgin Mary who was over-shadowed by the Holy Spirit, lived a sinless life, though tempted by sin, sinned not, gave His life on the cross for the sins of all man kind, and was resurrected from the grave and ascended to heaven to be with the Father again. (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:27, John 1:1-4, Hebrews 7:3, Revelation 1:8)
Article Three We believe that the Father God is a work today and His will and heart is being released and accomplished through the good news of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. (John 5:19 & 30, John 14:31, Luke 11:13)
Article Four We believe the Holy Spirit is at work today in the spirit and the flesh of believers as they yield their life to Him. A measure of the Spirit is received at salvation and greater measure, as well as giftings are imparted to believers in more abundance as they pursue a deeper Christian life. In order for a Christian to accomplish all that they can for the Lord they must have the power of Holy Spirit working in their life. (Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5; 2:14, 8-17; 10:44-46; 19:6).
Article Five We believe the Bible to be the infallible Word of God, written down by holy men as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit to do so. We refer to the Bible as the timeless Word of God. We hold the Old Testament as relevant, confirming, and instructional in the Christian life as the New Testament. (Matthew 5:17, II Peter 1:21)
Article Six We believe that God still speaks and gives specific direction today through His body in words of knowledge, words of wisdom, prophetic words, dreams, and visions. Such speaking of God today though mankind is refer to as a now Word of God. These now Words of God confirm the timeless Word of God as proof they are from God. (Acts 2:17, 11:15 18:9, I Corinthian 12:8-11) Article Seven We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for to pay for the sins of mankind. As individuals we must personally accept His shed blood to pay for our sins and this acceptance is accompanied by repentance, turning away from a life of sin and toward a life for God. (Romans 3:25; 1 John 3:5-10; Ephesians 2:1-10).
Article Eight We believe, teach, and firmly maintain the scriptural doctrine of justification by faith alone in the blood of Jesus. Works are mere evidence of a changed heart. (Romans 5:1).
Article Nine We believe that eternal life with God in heaven is a blessing of the grace and mercy of God we receive when we accept the blood sacrifice of Jesus, and that everlasting banishment from the presence of the Lord and unending torture in hell are the wages of those that reject Jesus’ blood for their sins. (Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 21:7-8).
Article Ten We believe that every believer must be growing in their Christian walk throughout their life, ever expanding their influence, their level of devotion, intimacy with the Lord, and a life separation from sin. (Philippians 3:14, Titus 3:14, II Peter 3:18)
Article Eleven We believe that the broken body of Jesus provided for healing and deliverance for the Christian life here on earth. It is the second aspect of the work of the cross, the blood being the other. This healing and deliverance can be divinely administered, self administered, or administered from another believer. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16;).
Article Twelve We believe in the imminent, personal, second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We also believe He is coming for a glorious church, a spotless bride, that is making a mark and positive effect on a sinful world at His return. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 3:1-4; Matthew 24:29-44), and love and wait for His appearing (2 Timothy 4:8).
Article Thirteen We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to dedicate his life to carrying out the work of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).
Article Fourteen We believe in the power of prayer and declaration by the believer for today, that through prayer and declaration, angels can be dispatched, God can be moved, and outcomes in the natural can be changed. (Acts 4:31, 28:8, Romans 4:20-22, II Timothy 4:2)
Article Fifteen We believe in the biblical patterns of leadership and offices as taught by the New Testament. (Acts 6:1-7, Ephesians 2:20, Ephesians 4:11, Titus 1:5) |
What
do we believe?
Core Values:
û
The Father's House will maintain an atmosphere of freedom of worship,
expression, service, and obedience to what God would have us do, both
individually and corporately.
û
As Jesus said, "My house shall be called the house of
prayer" Matt. 21:13 KJV, so shall be The Father's House of
Stockton. A goal of The Father's House is to establish a prayer room that is
accessible to the body 24 hours a day. This will be a place where prayer
requests and prophetic words can be posted and prayed over. A place wholly
dedicated to prayer and meeting God.
û
The Father's House is a place where time is secondary to waiting upon
what God wants to do.
û
The Father's House is a place of giving. Strong emphasis on the
scriptural view of the blessings of being a giving people is our standard.
Giving to support this work as well as blessing others; both Christian and
secular works as God leads.
û
As Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, said unto Moses, "Thou
wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this
thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone."
Exodus 18:18 KJV, The Father's House will employ the practice of
distribution and levels of leadership. This Biblical practice will enable us
to meet the needs of all those who worship at The Father's House and reach
the city of Stockton.
û
The Father's House stands firmly for unity among believers knowing
the power and blessing that unity releases and identifies us as His
disciples.
û
The Father's House is a place of blessing. We are a people that
release God's blessing and not condemnation and judgment.
û
As Isaiah 61:1 states, the Anointing of the Lord is to reach the
broken hearted, the lost, and the captives, the hurting of our community, and
the emphasis of The Father's House shall be towards people in such a state of
any race, color, or ethnic background. The blessing that rests upon us shall
be used to bless those about us.
û
Debt free. The Father’s House will trust that God will supply the
needs for His work. |
